Hey Mike
First time I posted something here in a long long time. This picture of Bart and I has a lot of meaning for me. I have known Bart since I was 13 years old and now Im 51. We have had many conversation over the years about our lures. And I will say most of them have been all positive with a few costructive criticism . The criticsm was directed to me and my lures and it was a positive one I will say. When one of the best lure guys tells you that you have a good lures and to go the extra mile. Then you have to ask yourself what does he mean by that. Then he explains to me what he see's that I can improve on. So I sit and listen and realize that Bart is right. That little something really made a big difference.
So I am where I am at today because of a little construtive criticsm.
This photo of Bart and I was taken early morning on the day of the World Cup and Fire Cracker tournaments out of Kona. Bart and the crew invited me on the Bad Company to talk story with the few minutes we had before start fishing. I was welcomed by Bart with open arms and a big hand shake. This was the first time in over 20 years that we have seen each other. The picture of me and Bart can say a thousand words. It deepends on what you think it says.
This special day was one of the greatest for me . Not only did I meet an old friend, I got a 595 pound blue marlin . We took second place in the 2009 Fire Cracker. And yes it was caught with a COGGIN TADO short corner.
Thanks for posting this picture. It brings back great memories.
Aloha
