Talking Black Bart Brazilliano lure. What color should I buy first?

I use all moldcraft teasers and we float quite a bit of Marlin with them, but everybody here seems to be in love with this Brazilliano lure made by barts. I know which colors work the best in Moldcraft, but I was thinking about buying just one of the bart's lures to see how it works down here. What color should I start with? If that works out, what other colors do you guys like?

John, you will have answers for this as there are color combinations... my favorite combos are:

over

another good one is
over

also...
over

or even...
over
the daker tail gives a nice effect when running.

There will be others that disagree but my fish gotta have some pink and the combos above are the ones I would choose.
Brazilliano is a great lure... try putting hooks to it too.
Good luck,

Thumbs up Re: Black Bart Brazilliano lure. What color should I buy first?

If you are having such good luck with certain colored Moldcrafts and you have confidence in those colors and their proven ability to raise fish, then why not order up a Brazilliano in one of the same colors as the Moldcraft? This way you have the best of both worlds - your confidence colors plus a superior lure.

Color to me is over rated..action takes president and placement in the spread and placement on the wave. Your lures within a pattern must compliment each other or you are not going to get the results out of the lures out and hits might only come from one or two positions in the wake when they should be coming from anywhere in the wake at all times.

I would add to Paco's picks as Black / red / purple dark hues too, especially on lures run tight to the transom as they will provide a better profile against the white surface created by the bubbles in the wake.

Hope this helps.

Pisssss...get an Extreme Breakfast and put it on wave 2 on the short corner and then Brazilliano on the opposite side on wave 3 at long corner..these two combined complimented with less aggressive lures trailing are a big fish magnet!! Short rigger...St. Thomas Prowler or Abaco Prowler are my go to lures in that position on wave 4..period! Well sometimes a Kona Classic tube if calm enough.

Dave

Capt. Miller has been known to visit here = lure maker and dealer = Black Bart lures www.blackbartlures.com

I believe Tracy Melton of Melton International Tackle has also been a member here. www.meltontackle.com

Depending on where you order your Brazilliano the color choices will be different -- while Melton and J&M are dealers, they skirt their own so the colors are different than from Black Bart.
