Just wanted to thank everyone for all the info I've been reading in all the posts lately.
Got out of the marlin game for a good while and am just getting back into it now.
I fish mostly Northern GOM but do travel to fish once or twice a year. Got on a big fly fishing kick for a few years for sails, then started fishing the gulf more for bottom fish and pelagic "meat fish" mostly.
I have a boat here in South Central Louisiana and one in South Alabama that I am rigging for marlin and swordfish fishing now. She is a 26' Regulator and I'll have her ready to roll for the white marlin season here in sept and Oct.
Just got back from the full moon on the North Drop out of St John!!!
Really got me fired up about chasing marlin again! I'll be posting lots of questions I'm sure.
