What is the heavest test line that you can put on a peen 50vsw or a 70vsw that will be ok with IGFA rules for sharking.

THat's a hard question as you need to tell us what line you wish to use: mono nylon, IGFA braid or Dacron or a combination of say Dacron with nylon top shot.

130# IGFA rated and tested breaking strength and it does not matter if its dacron or mono it just has to break below or on 130#'s that is your heaviest line you can use. simple

130# factory rating is not 130# IGFA rating so make sure you understand that difference.

Not really, rules only say that the leader and double line must be out of the rod tip when hookup occurs. If the fish is only a couple of handle turns away from you its your luck.

the igfa does not go by pounds any more, they use kilos. 130lb used to be the max, now it is 60 Kilos. Roughly equalling 132 pounds.
