Bart's red-faced lures?
Hi chaps,
Just got back from Cape Verde and had two over 600lb in six days, the larger one nudging 700 perhaps (plus six others in the 200-350 range). Great trip! I also caught my 50th blue marlin - in eight years of trying.
I left my lovely, lovely Black Bart Marlin Candy in yellowfin (dark blue/gold) with the skipper as a thank you. It was a replacement for another of the same that caught several fish a couple of years ago but was lost to a watery grave when it fell off the end of a severed leader (Don't ask! Cock-ups happen...). It was all scratched up from bills anyway (hahaha).
OK, I said, I can get another. Then I rememered that when I was in Antibes a few weeks ago I called in to a tackle shop that had a great lure collection, but all of Bart's lures had little red faces in place of the nice silver fronts to the inserts.
When I called my supplier in the UK they said all the new stock had this red face now.
Dear Capt'n Bart, oh why have you done this? I'm sorry my friend but I don't like it - I think it detracts from their beauty - like putting bead eyes on a traditional, fully-dressed salmon fly. I may be the only one and perhaps there is a good fish-catching reason, but oh dear, I am now Marlin Candy-less and reduced to asking what the store has in old stock without the red bits.

Re: Bart's red-faced lures?
Dear Chris,
Not a problem, you can always have your Black Bart Lures served up just the way you like them. No long wait either, B.B.L. are ready to ship with or with out the "HOT" Pink nose.
I understand your reluxstance to change, grin. I can assure you my friend that change doesn't come easy, No Willy Nilly attitude, change only comes after long hours of field testing, as it has with HOT PINK LURE NOSE ACCENT. This touch or refinement has long been a hit with the FRESH WATER LURE AFICIONADOS, as now it is with my Big Game Lures.
Just for laughs my HOT PINK LURE Accent also trapped the KOPY KATS, with PINK on their nose. No longer could they claim their innocence, anymore than RED LIP STICK on ones color gives them a free pass to play. Sure enough, the KOPY KATS have all stood up & been counted for. Grin!
Chris you can always trust that proper service, plus my on going evolution of building better products is a standard at B.B.L. aimed to satisfy, any, & all customers.
Thank you Chris & all the others that fish the future now, much appreciated guy's & gals.

Aloha Justin,
I'm an old guy, I screw up from time to time. Listen you young whipper snapper, if you don't like my pitch then maybe you would like to step out back & settle this once & for all.
Further more if you think you can smoke my factory then I have this to say about that.

Dustin,
I believe the current rates for using photos is about $92 a picture. My bill will be in the post shortly.

Re: Bart's red-faced lures?
That whole pink nose thing was my idea first. But they only took part of the idea. You see I wanted them to make pink bill condoms for the S. Florida sailfish so we could see um easier. Different colored bill condoms for each species. Would have made IDing a fish in the spread much easier.

I thought it was just Mikey Mike putting some lipstick on Brasilia -- knowing that "he" 'd (the Brasilia lure) not be worried at any feminitiny - just try to see if the Marlin like the like of it..... ?
