From Mike Hurt comes confirmation of something we all prayed was a mistake ...
The son of Greg Stotesbury, Zane, had a sudden ending to his young life last night in a motorcycle accident where he was pronounced dead at the scene. Greg wanted me to let everyone know. The Stotesburys request that we put them in our prayers. They will let us know about services. Please convey this tragic loss of a son that words can not express to the rest of our family.
Most of you know Greg through his fishing achievements or his representation of AFTCO, and many of you have gotten to know Zane as well. Young as he was, he has already accomplished so much. He proudly served our country in the Navy, and even in his early 20s was a better fisherman than most of us could have ever hoped to be. I've known Greg most of my adult life, and a better man I don't know - I can't fathom the pain he must be feeling right now, as fate adds this to the cruel string of tragedies he has endured in the last decade.
They say that God doesn't give burdens you cannot bear, but that doesn't mean you have to bear them alone. Greg, you know that we are all here for you, and carry you and your loved ones in our prayers.
