Hello Marlinnut community!

I grew up marlin fishing with my dad in Southern California. As a boy I was fascinated with all aspects of marlin fishing… especially screaming reels and jumping marlin! We fished on an Owens Brigantine 33. Like a lot of west coast fisherman I migrated down to Mexico and spent a lot of years fishing, diving, and surfing with our friendly neighbors to the south.

I've owned several boats over the years. My current boat is a 1989 Grand Banks 32 (Passatempo). It is moored in Dana Point, CA. I will be spending a lot of time on the water this season.

The name "Grand Banks" brings back some memories, oddly enough - I never fished on one but there were a couple of these in southeast Asia when I was growing up and their operators trolled by quite a few good fish while moving around. Hope you'll report lots of the same!
