Question My Cabo Marlin

I caught a Blue Marlin off Cabo last week. We attempted release it, but the fish didn't make it. The long measurement was 113", but I did not get a girth measurement. I am trying to estimate the weight. It was my first Marlin, and have no experience on which to draw. I'm hoping a veteran can make an educated guess as to the weight. I received two different estimates at the dock, but do not want to provide them here to avoid swaying any opinion. I am 5' 11" and weight 204 (see pic) if that helps for scale. Any guesses about the Marlin?

It looks skinny... 113" short length?
Maybe 350... 400 tops.

What would your guess be if 113" was the long measurement?

Ok if the long length (length including bill) was 113" we can estimate the bill to be 18" that would leave us a fish of aprox. 95" weight should be around 250 lbs.

Great. The two estimates I was given were 250 and 270. I really appreciate the "guess." I was very disappointed the fish didn't survive. Apparently he came down on the bait with the gill flap.

Yes, sometimes they just not make it... more often when on light line.

I don't know the line test either - not very well-informed I'm afraid! Thank you for your replies. (Incidentally, I do not see my half of the conversation on the board.)
