Big Boyd is on a distinguished road
Default I didn't know

I didn't know Joe Yee lures have become Collector lures. I have more than a dozen or so new ones I haven't used. Yee lures have been so productive I hate to retire them.
So I guess my question is who makes the next best lure like the 501,505 and super plungers?
I wonder if someone will acquire his molds.
Tight lines

Well, it really depends which you think would give the most value to you:

- Using your lures to fish with
- sold to collectors or
- locked away in a safe in the hope their value will rise even more

Joe Yee lures used to be priced more or less the same as other Hawaiian makers - it's only limited availability that has seen their prices go up (unless you think they have suddenly become better fish catchers). All the best lures get taken away by fish in time, so you will have to find replacements sooner or later, willingly or not. You might as well check out the variety of lures that are now available, most of them just a Facebook page away. There is something for every taste, lures made the old school way, lures made with more durable hi tech resins and seemingly every exotic material out there is being used as an insert. If you know your lure fishing your success should not be down to Joe Yee or any other lure brand.
