07/11/2006: "Love It When I'm Right ..."

I mentioned in an earlier entry that I thought it'd been a long time since a Rule 5 pick like the Marlins' Dan Uggla made the All-Star squad as a rookie. Turns out I was right! Saw him last night at the Home Run Derby watching like a little kid. It's nice to have a reminder of why baseball is still America's special sport.

UPDATE: Never mind the All-Star Game ... Uggly was on the Jim Rome Show today!
