07/11/2006: "Bend Over, Phil"

So Trevor Hoffmann blows the save and the National League snatches defeat from the jaws of victory ... again. Phil Garner is going to have a tough time living this one down. I didn't expect Dan Uggla to get playing time, but Miguel Cabrera - third in last night's Home Run Derby - went in as a defensive replacement in the 9th and got no at bats. Trust me, Phil - this guy's not there for his defense. But then, you got a chance to see that, didn't you. Nomar Garciaparra - leading the league in batting - never gets off the pine. Not a managerial masterpiece, and whoever wins the NLCS will pay the price.

First the World Series and now the All-Star Game ... how does it feel to be Ozzie Guillen's bitch, Phil?
