- Congrats to the Cardinals for a thorough trouncing of the Tigers to close out the World Series at home Friday. For those of us in SoCal, it was dejavu' all over as we watched Jeff Weaver, Scott Spezio and David Eckstein celebrate on the mound. Oh, and it's pronounced "ex-stine", Bud ...
- You knew they'd lose a game they way they'd been playing; you just didn't think it would be against Oregon State. USC's dance along the razor's edge finally ended Saturday as they fell from the ranks of the undefeated. The only consolation was that realistically, they weren't going to play for the crystal football anyway - now they can focus on trying to reach the Rose Bowl. No easy matter, though. Booty looked good towards the end of the game, so Trojan fans can hold on to that ...
- The final numbers are in for the Bisbee's Black and Blue Tournament are in. Team BAD COMPANY 55 rolled the field and took home an amazing $3,902,997.50 in winnings and jackpots. As amazing as this number is, it pales when you compare it to how they won it. With 183 teams competing, they managed to catch two of the three qualifying fish in the event. That's a display of dominance like none other I've ever seen. The scary thing is that they could hold the event again tomorrow, and I'll bet they'd to the same damn thing ...
